ChildFIND is a component of Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) that requires states to identify, locate, and evaluate all children with disabilities ages 3 to 21 who are in need of early intervention or special education services. ChildFIND accepts referrals from parents, community agencies, health care providers, childcare programs, and community members. ChildFIND is a continuous process of public awareness and screening activities that locate, identify, and refer children as early as possible. Individuals who contact ChildFIND may have concerns about a child's development in one or more of the following areas: communication, cognitive skills, motor skills, daily activities, social or emotional skills, vision, hearing, and orthopedic needs.
Please contact ChildFIND at 662-7690 to make a confidential referral.
